The Nature Reserve Farm "De Vierde Liefde" lies in Wolseley, 20 km from the historic Tulbagh and 12 km from Ceres, the centre of the local fruit-farming district. Wolseley itself has only the Ínternational Supermarket' (no bigger than a shed!), but Tulbagh and Ceres both have good shopping facilities and many pleasant restaurants. The main drive of 'De Vierde liefde' runs past wine cellar 'Romansrivier'.

There is a good road through the estate 'De Vierde Liefde'. From natural springs flows perfect, crystal-clear water. There is a large decorative pond with 'waterblommetjies' and a small swimming lake surrounded by a large lawn with picknicking facilities (only for residents). Currently, electricity and telephone lines are being laid on the estate.

There is a residents association that is responsible for the upkeep of the nature reserve. Tree sorts that are not indigenous to the area need to be removed and new plantings are carefully arranges. Fire safety is another important consideration. The association's contribution is currently £ 30.

Gorgeous Proteas bloom everywhere along with the 'Fynbos' (the pride and glory of South Africa) and many other protected flower sorts. You can also regularly see unusual birds and small wildlife. An ideal spot for nature-lovers and those desperately seeking silence. Perfect for a holiday-home or a permanent residence.

The reserve lies on the Swartland wine-route. A golfcourse and canoeing (Breede Rivier) are both to be found close by. There is snow in August (23 C daytime temp.) and you can swim in December.

On a 45-minutes drive from the reserve "De Vierde Liefde" you can find the fantastic game reserve 'Inverdoorn', where you can make a 4x4 game drive and see giraffes, zebra's, white rhino's, wildebeests, sable antilopes, flamingo's and many more……….. Look at their website:
